Eleven Most Wanted RV Gifts
I got into a conversation with one of our Hidden Valley RVers about her holiday gift list which included several follow RVers. My mom always said "If it's something you'd like to receive then it's probably a good gift." So we put our heads together and came up with a whole slew of things WE would want, being RVers ourselves. Here are some of our ideas should you be faced with the same gifting dilemma.
- One of those dutch ovens that hook onto a tripod so you can bake and cook over an outdoor campfire.
- An outdoor fire pit big enough to keep you warm on a nippy night but small enough to easily store and high enough off the ground to use even during a burn ban (needs to have a screen cover for this.)
- A hand painted sign for your campsite or a personalized welcome mat.
- National Audubon Society Field Guides (to trees, wildflowers, birds, butterflies, etc, etc)
- A hand held GPS unit for geocaching
- A Camping cookbook, either purchased or self made
- A memory foam mattress topper or pillows
- A kindle or a gift card to download some new reading material
- Binoculars
- Gift Certificate to a Hidden Valley RV Park or the campground of your choice or a membership to one of the Discount Camping Clubs like Passport America.
Most of these items are available at Bass Pro Shops, Academy Sports & Outdoors and Camping World. I can help you directly with Hidden Valley Camping Gift Cards and Gift Memberships to Passport America.
