PBS is airing a series about "America's National Parks- America's Best Idea" that I highly recommend if you enjoy beautiful photography and breath-taking views of this wonderful country. The historians and others interviewed as well as some comments from John Muir himself (the National Parks greatest defender and promoter) gave some thoughtful and touching reviews of the parks and how they make you feel. One historian mentioned: "No matter where you're from, when you enter a NP it's like you're coming home, reconnecting to the land, the earth we came from...that garden of Eden...that untouched paradise." Mr Muir referred to the NP experience as "getting to know God."
