The Early Bird Gets the ...Stock Show & Rodeo Tickets

It's that time of year again...well almost. The annual San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo runs in 2010 from February 4th through 21st. The stock shows events include bull riding, bareback horse riding, tie-down calf roping, steer wrestling and my personal favorite "mutton bustin.'" Of course the stars of the show are the beloved Rodeo clowns.

Some of us just love a carnival and all the excitement, rides, cotton candy, smoked turkey legs and sausage on a stick.

But most all Rodeo aficionados scramble every year to get tickets to the entertainment scheduled. The lineup this year includes Alan Jackson, Trace Atkins, Blake Shelton and Foreigner to name just a few.

To kick off the Rodeo week, the Friday before it begins you can sign up for a FREE cowboy breakfast from 5am to 9am. This year will be the 32nd Cowboy breakfast where you can get FREE tacos, tamales, biscuits and gravy, coffee, live country entertainment and last but not at all least, the cow patty throwing contest where famous and not so famous persons compete by trying to throw cow patties into a gold commode. I know, but at least they wait till everyone's eaten. As details are released for this years breakfast I'll keep you posted.
